Maple Lawn Cemetery in Monroe Township, Carroll County, Indiana, is located a half mile east of Flora on State Road 18. It serves as the final resting place for generations of the community's pioneers, citizens, and veterans. Operated by the nonprofit Maple Lawn Cemetery Association, Inc., it is historically classified as a dedicated municipal/cemetery association burial site. A Veteran's Memorial with a circular drive serves as the central focal point of the cemetery grounds.

   The Town of Flora was originally established in October 1827 and platted in 1872. As Flora developed and Monroe Township grew, Maple Lawn Cemetery was established to provide a formalized, non-sectarian burial ground for the town's expanding population.

   Of the four burial sites in Monroe Township - Maple Lawn, Old Flora, Moss and Shirar-Landis - only Maple Lawn is an active burial site with over 4,600 burials to date.
