The Maple Lawn Cemetery offers diverse memorial sites across our grounds to suit both classic casket burials and cremation interments. For help in selecting an ideal final resting place, please reach out to our site superintendent. The superintendent should also be contacted to schedule a burial or interment.
Cemetery Guidelines & Policies
To uphold the solemn beauty and historical presence of Maple Lawn, we request all guests follow these established regulations. For maintenance queries or rule clarifications, contact maplelawncemeteryassn@gmail.com. Our oversight board is authorized to remove items that deviate from these standards to ensure the safety and aesthetics of all memorial spaces.

Visiting Periods
Members of the public are welcome on the grounds daily from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Note that overnight stays or camping are strictly forbidden.

Quiet Policy
A period of silence is enforced nightly between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Fireworks and disruptive noise are never allowed on the site.

Safety & Awareness
The protection of our visitors is paramount. We advise guests to watch their step on the cemetery's natural, uneven terrain to prevent accidents. Additionally, please ensure you leave no valuables unattended as the association is not liable for lost items.

Stone Base Settings
To coordinate the pouring of a monument foundation, please reach out to the board treasurer.

Ground Maintenance
Please help us preserve our grounds. Littering or defacing markers is prohibited. Annual cemetery clean-up is April 1 thru May 1 . All items to be saved are to be removed by April 1. Summer decorations should be removed by October 15 to prepare the cemetery grounds for winter.
Decorations & Memorials
- Flowers and decorations may be placed near monuments but must not interfere with mowing or maintenance.
- Artificial and real flowers are to be placed in plastic or metal containers. Glass, ceramic or breakable containers are prohibited because they can create hazards for visitors and maintenance workers.
- Glass of any kind is prohibited.
- Grave blankets are prohibited.
- Decorations that are offensive, dangerous or likely to damage cemetery property are not allowed.
- Cemetery workers may remove wilted, damaged or overgrown decorations as well as decorations that interfere with mowing or grounds maintenance.
Candles & Solar Decorations
- Solar lights are allowed if they do not interfere with mowing and grounds maintenance; no glass.
- Open flames are prohibited.
- Broken or damaged solar lights and decorations must be removed.
Shepherd's Hooks
- Shepherd hooks may not interfere with mowing and grounds maintenance or they will be removed.
Planting & Landscaping
- No trees, shrubs, bushes, or permanent plants may be planted without prior approval from the cemetery association.
- Families should not alter the ground around a grave, including digging, edging, installing borders, or adding landscaping materials.
- No rocks, gravel, mulch, brick, fencing, or other permanent landscaping materials are allowed.
- The cemetery association reserves the right to trim or remove plants that become overgrown, diseased, unsafe, or interfere with maintenance.
